Black Women Do Breastfeed works to eliminate stigma against breastfeeding in Black communities, educate Black communities about the elements of breastfeeding, support Black breastfeeding families on their breastfeeding journeys, increase the visibility of Black breastfeeding families in our communities, and improve the rates of breastfeeding in Black communities.

The Alliance for Black NICU Families™ seeks to raise the voice of black families in the NICU and post-NICU in terms of creating racial and health equity through policy advocacy, professional educational initiatives, family educational initiatives, leadership mentoring of up and coming African American-led organizations and public outreach for assistance. This organization also works to provide breast pumps to black NICU moms.

Recognizing the need for additional support due to racial disparities in the healthcare system and racial trauma, Hand to Hold introduced a virtual support group for Black families. Support groups for Black families of the NICU are necessary, safe, and affirming spaces to gather around a shared identity for healing, processing and support of Black mothers.

Project Sweet Peas is a 501(c)3 national non-profit organization coordinated by volunteers. Project Sweet Peas provides care packages, hospital events, peer-to-peer support, financial aid, educational materials, and other Project Sweet Peas services, support the cultural, spiritual, emotional, and financial needs of families as they endure life in the NICU.

This is the mission of Free Black Therapy: to connect Black therapists with Black and African American individuals who lack adequate funds or health insurance.

Mighty Miracles Foundation is to empower and support families of preemies and others with special health needs beginning life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We do this by sending out free care packages to families currently going through the NICU and by partnering with NICU to provide items from our care packages for their families.

Newborn Hope is a 50-year-old organization that provides education, webinars for parents; a free downloadable packet, and grants for families based in Colorado.

The mission of Today is a Good Day is to provide personal and financial support for families who experience the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Today is a Good Day delivers Care Packages, facilitates Navigate the NICU sessions for families currently navigating the NICU journey, and provides direct financial support.
